Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop

We learned a lot of fascinating things about medications of the time period and how they were administered. We were told that 75% of those medications are still in use today. Upstairs they had a Powder Room--not what you're thinking. They would lean over this tray and get their wigs powdered. All the extra powder dust would fall of into the tray so as not to waste. That's why we call it a Powder Room! The leeches were cool and so was the woman dressed in period costume sharing more information (broken bone? amputate!).
