Kyburz, California 95720

Off we went to California for Spring Break and this time, we were determined to "check out" the little hamlet of Kyburz. Not much there, but there is a towing/general store and Eleanor filled us in on the place. We bought a soda and a candy bar with our debit card so that we have something that says Kyburz spent money in Kyburz. The post office was closed, but I love that they have Christmas lights pinned up. I also love that they take and leave produce at will (we did not take anything but photos). Every town worth its salt has a library and there it is...located in the post office. The rest of the library is located inside Eleanor's brain. Kyburz really is just a wide spot in the road and it was pouring rain (loud thunder). Eleanor said she evacuated for the first two fires in her 42 years of Kyburz living, however, she stayed put for the last three.
