Cedar Breaks National Monument

The boy, biding his time while the women are gabbing. Such a good sport, I tell you!

This is one of the overlooks at Cedar Breaks. The columbine were fabulous again. It's my tradition to hit Cedar Breaks every July during the Wild Flower Festival.

This trail is outside of the monument on Highway 14. The loop is only a half mile and relatively flat. Do stop by sometime. I had been here before with K.

The Tree.

Bristle Cone Pines look like bottle brushes.

Touchy-touchy. We rangers can't touch inside of the cave, but when we can touch something, we do. We like to put all five senses into things when appropriate. We just love to interpret the resource.

Ancient Pine. Ancient Sky.
