After Church
Pretty in Pink with some fluff. Dark places for eyes and definite beaks for nourishment.
Open wide!
Mama's gonna take a teeny little break right now.
After Presidency Meeting
I noticed the last Blue was now in the center of the nest. I can only presume that the siblings decided to surround the last egg and cheer with support: "GO BLUE! GO BLUE! GO BLUE!"
I've Got a Secret!
When I returned from Kamp Kyburz, I saw some robin flying activity near the tree as I was unloading my suitcase from the car. I wondered. When I checked, all I saw was Mrs. Robinson sitting in her nest. What a poker face! And then...I saw this:
Hatchlings with just a touch of blue left in the nest! Such an exciting weekend for the Robinsons! Now the whole family's lifestyle revolves around food, food, and more food!
Some creatures know how to keep everything quiet and calm. I was off to presidency meeting.
Before I Left
On Friday the Fourth I headed north to Kamp Kyburz for the weekend. Before I left, there were still five eggs.

Robin Stalking
I went outside and snapped a few from ground level. She was as cool as a cucumber, but very aware. VERY! I apologize for her loss of calories and whatever else happens when predators lurk nearby.

No News
I caught her away from her nest after a few attempts! Hah! I snapped this photo and set the camera down. Looked again and there she was, like she never left. Sneaky. Quiet. Ninja Robin! Still five eggs...

Robin Red Breast
Robin Red Breast is showing a little more of her red today. She is as good as they come. I check several times each morning and each afternoon, especially when I hear singing and chirping, but there she sits. A lot of human mothers "can't wait" to exercise again after the baby comes. Well, Mother Robin will get plenty of that with multiple trips daily to forage for food. I just wonder what she thinks about. Does she hate the view by now? Is Father Robin checking in frequently enough? I sleep right next to her you know with just one wall/window separating us. I was cozy in bed last night not worried about the wind, rain, and lightning while she was out there taking another one for the team as the storm rolled by. She deserves a spectacular outcome!
