Like Japanese Calligraphy
We went walking yesterday along a river and the beautiful day healed us. Not that we were sick or anything, but if you haven't been walking by a river in some time, there is healing to be had.
In fact, I completely skipped my usual routine at the fitness center, but still counted the two miles as my exercise. Also, I ate a donut from a cheap box of them that K bought at an outlet bakery so we could get our "free" loaf of bread with a coupon. We actually spent $8.38 and because we went over the eight dollar mark, we got a second loaf of "free" bread! Oh, the happy surprises life has in store! So I was a little worried about my Sunday morning weigh-in. Even though I ate a donut and walked leisurely for two miles instead of hammering away on the elliptical, I am down from last week. I think sleeping as long as I cared to this morning helped a lot too. I'll get back to my usual tomorrow.
The week has just flown by! Last week, the mister and I were both wondering how I was going to make it through, but with his help and the help of Heaven and humans here on Earth who qualify as angels in my book, I made it!
Anyway, the lines of the downed trees and their reflections on the water reminded me of Japanese brush strokes when writing Kanji. Some people do calligraphy because it's relaxing. Observing nature's writing was a soothing time for me.

Oh, and By the Way...
Somehow I grew up to become the stake Primary president. It happened today at 3:00 p.m. I have two wonderful counselors and a great secretary. Other than that, I'm pretty much out of words...

Our Clock Doth Protest
We're doing okay with the recent time change, but it looks like the clock is having fits!
And I just had to snap one on the way to Mexican Lasagna. Beautiful food.
Also, I am tired. Change is on the horizon. I put in three hours and ten minutes of unpaid overtime this afternoon and evening. But what teacher didn't?
My workouts are going well. Let's end there!
